Getty Unshuttered is an educational program produced by the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, California. To learn more about the activities of the J. Paul Getty Museum, please visit getty.edu.

Artists are activists. That’s why we built Getty Unshuttered. It’s a positive community for photographers to share their unique view of the world, grow their skills, and build their portfolios. Images you post will inspire thousands of fellow photographers to create art online. Each new post helps you practice your skills, level up, and earn recognition from experts for all your hard work.

Our Getty Unshuttered Live is almost here. On June 26, teens will take over the Getty Center for one night, as the museum becomes an eye-popping immersive showcase for photos from the Getty Unshuttered community. We're celebrating the voices of teen artists from L.A. and beyond.
